Keeping fit and well this winter! – A mean green recipe from SAM

SAM is always trying to help improve wellbeing and promote a healthy workplace, so here’s a mean green recipe from SAM, courtesy of our wellbeing coach.

Ingredients:

2 Handfuls of washed Kale

1 Cucumber

4 Sticks of Celery

2 Apples

1 Lemon

1 square inch of Root Ginger

1 pint of Water

1 pint of Ice

Method:

Wash and chop up all the ingredients and mix together in a power blender or juicer.

Juicing or Blending? – SAM’s Tip - Blending is healthier than juicing as it keeps all the pulp so it’s much thicker and is therefore is higher in fibre.

Everyday wellbeing:

Hydration - Drink 6-8 250ml glasses of water daily

Preparation - Plan your meals and avoid bad choices

Sleep - Be in bed for 10pm and get up at 6am
